This video is of Brad Gardner (myself) and Christopher Krestel skating figures at Nationals in Lincoln Nebraska. We were not competing against each other and were in different events. I placed 3rd in my event and do not know what Christopher placed. Sorry for the quality but this was transferred from old VHS tapes.
We had a fun time in 2009 (sorry, the credits say 2008) at our retro party in Elmwood, Nebraska skating to oldies. The skating rink is no longer in busines :o( but we will always remember good times there. The Herrmann's
Just a bunch of guys skating. The editing in this video is pretty horrid, I wanted to go back and re-edit it until I found out the original was lost when my computer crashed.

1/26/2013 9:06p On March 4--8, 1975, the World Figure Skating Championships were held at the Broadmoore Hotel, Colorado Springs, for the fifth time. I was there that year attending World Young Christian Conference which was held at nearby Star Dust Camp. Dorothy Hamill, the United States ladies champion, was 2nd place in the world championships in 1974. This entitled the United States to send her in the following year-1975. The competition began at 8 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, 1975, between the then Soviet Union and USA. It was a truly exciting experience. Today, after 37 yrs 8 mos 12 days, I had the same experience here in Omaha, the biggest city in Nebraska. I have posted this film clip to share this experience with all of you.
